North Dakota State Treasury Partners With Bond Market Foundation to Provide Online Money Management Tools

Contact: Lisa Anderson (701) 328-2643

North Dakota State Treasurer Kelly Schmidt today announced a partnership between the North Dakota State Treasury and the Bond Market Foundation, a national non-profit organization, to provide North Dakotans with online money management resources.

“A life of financial success and security begins with a strong education,” said Treasurer Schmidt. “I firmly believe that in the same way my office is responsible for wisely managing our state’s resources, we should provide the best tools possible for our citizens to do the same with their resources. This partnership with The Bond Market Foundation is part of my overall commitment to help people manage their money well today and save and invest wisely for their future.”

The Bond Market Foundation has created northdakota.tomorrowsmoney.org to provide basic, easily-accessible information on personal finance concepts including confidence, motivation, knowledge and skill-building to help individuals begin to save and invest. The sites are accessible from the Treasurer’s homepage, www.nd.gov/ndtreas and offer unique information for women, young people, servicemen and women, as well as those who have suffered an unexpected change such as the loss of a spouse or job. Tomorrowsmoney.org is a strictly nonprofit website. Nothing is bought or sold on the site and users’ privacy is strictly protected.

“The Bond Market Foundation created the Tomorrowsmoney.org suite of sites to help people gain the skills and confidence they need to take control of their financial future,” said Kathryn Edmundson, Executive Director of The Bond Market Foundation. “We are thrilled to partner with Treasurer Schmidt and her staff to provide North Dakotans with practical financial management tools, information and motivation.”

The Bond Market Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the charitable and educational partner of The Bond Market Association, whose membership is comprised of bond market industry firms.
