Residential Programming
The residential program at NDSD provides a full spectrum of services.
A language-enriched environment that enhances incidental learning through peer interaction, role models that are deaf and counselors skilled in sign language. (Incidental learning is one of the most powerful learning experiences in life).
- Sporting activities such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, tennis, fishing etc.
- Dances, and other social events that enrich the lives of students.
- Learning and leisure activities such as computer games, x-box, and board games along with craft projects.
- Dormitory shop projects.
- Community service.
- Life skills training.
- And much more!
The dormitory is a place where students learn about Deaf culture, and make friends within the hearing and the deaf communities!
