How do I become a provider of continuing education in North Dakota?
The fee to become a provider in North Dakota is $10. Find more information in the CE provider section.
 
How do I file a course for continuing education in North Dakota?
Log on to your provider account and click the main menu item to ‘Submit a Course.’ You will need to attach all documentation to the submission and pay the fee of $50 before it will allow you to submit.
 
Can I check on the status of a course I filed?
All courses submitted are reflected under the ‘Provider Summary’ menu item. You can view pending, active and rejected courses by clicking on the + sign under section headings.
 
Where can I get a copy of the course approval?
Under the ‘Provider Summary’ menu item, scroll to the correspondence section and click on the + sign to view all approvals. Click to open the letter.
 
What is my provider login and/or password?
The only password the Department has is the original one. Contact the SBS help desk either by phone or email to assist you. The help desk contact information is available by clicking "Having a problem?."
 
When do CE providers renew?
Providers in North Dakota do not renew.
 
When do CE courses renew and what is the fee?
Courses renew annually by March 1 of every year. There is no fee to renew courses. All correspondence with providers is done by email. An email notification goes out to all providers in November/December indicating your renewal listing will be available beginning Jan. 1. You must mark your courses as renewed by March 31 or they will be cancelled.
 
Where do I find a form for instructor approval?
North Dakota no longer approves instructors. It is the coordinator’s responsibility to make sure instructors meet the minimum qualifications.
 
How do I make a change to my provider information?
Providers have the ability to make all changes to their own information electronically by logging into the SBS site and clicking on the ‘Provider Summary’ menu item. This includes changes to addresses, email addresses and coordinator/contact information.
