Hamm invites Bismarck area consumers to attend free Medicare education event Posted on 3/8/2012
BISMARCK, N.D.-Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm announced today that the North Dakota Insurance Department's State Health Insurance Counseling (SHIC) program is holding a free event in Bismarck on March 21 for consumers who want to learn more about Medicare.
The Turning 65 event is aimed at helping people new to Medicare understand the process and the options available to them. The free seminar includes information about Medicare Part D, Medicare supplements and Medicare Advantage plans.
"We receive calls every day from people new to Medicare that need help," Hamm said. "This seminar is a great way to learn more about the program."
Bismarck's Turning 65 seminar will be held 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the Doublewood Inn in the Judicial Room, 1400 E. Interchange Ave. Other events are being planned around the state.
