Hamm encourages consumers to share opinions about health insurance Exchange in North Dakota
BISMARCK, N.D.-North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm today encouraged the state's health insurance buyers to participate in an online survey about health insurance and the impact a Health Benefit Exchange could have on the state.

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as health care reform, each state is required to establish a Health Benefit Exchange to serve as a marketplace for purchasing insurance. If a state does not establish an Exchange, the federal government will establish one in the state.

The survey includes questions about the process of buying insurance and the current health insurance options in the state, and asks participants to rank factors that are important in buying insurance, like monthly costs, customer service, quality ratings and the network of doctors and hospitals available.

Click here to participate in the survey. The survey will close Sunday, Oct. 16.
