BISMARCK, N.D. – Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread today announced the launch of the Insurance Department’s official Facebook page. While the Department has been active on Twitter since 2008, the addition of a Facebook page will result in the greater dissemination of important information to North Dakota consumers and producers alike.
“As the insurance industry consistently proves to be an incredibly complicated territory to navigate, there is a greater need for the Insurance Department to interact with our consumers and producers,” Godfread said. “Facebook has become a platform in which many people get their news and information. Due to that fact, we hope our new page will allow us to better provide up-to-date and topical information to North Dakotans, to highlight the breadth of the work that we do, particularly for our consumers, and finally, to showcase the day-to-day activities of the Department.”
Visitors to the page can also expect a variety of photos and videos, editorial content and information from national organizations like the National Association of Insurance Commissioners to be featured.
“Our Facebook page, as an extension of the Department’s website, is the go-to for all things insurance in North Dakota and hopefully, a resource that a vast number of people will use,” said Godfread.
