FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 30, 2012

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Trooper Brittany J. Schmidt graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. Trooper Schmidt has been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Northwest Region and will be stationed in Velva. Trooper Schmidt has completed 20 weeks of academic and physical training at the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Upon arriving at her assigned post, Trooper Schmidt will begin a field training program.

Trooper Schmidt graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
