Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces the reassignment of Sergeant Brian C. Bonness.  Effective October 31, 2010, Sergeant Bonness was reassigned to Bismarck as the sergeant for Motor Carrier Operations.

Sergeant Bonness began his career with the Highway Patrol in January 1995 attending the Highway Patrol Academy.  He was stationed as a trooper in Grand Forks, Williston, Bismarck, and Minot.  In November 2005, he was assigned as the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) coordinator and in August 2007, he was promoted to sergeant for Motor Carrier Operations stationed at Minot.  Sergeant Bonness will hold the same position but is now assigned to Bismarck.  Sergeant Bonness holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Minot State University.
