BISMARCK, N.D. – With increasing activity on the state’s roadways, the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be expanding its force. The 63rd Legislative Assembly authorized 15 additional NDHP troopers.
“We are excited about the additional troopers,” said Col. Jim Prochniak. “The added manpower will provide much needed relief to our existing personnel and will also provide valuable assistance to our local law enforcement agencies across North Dakota.”
The NDHP is currently authorized 198 full-time employees. The additional 15 positions will bring the total amount to 213 employees. The NDHP hiring process is currently open and all interested applicants should visit www.nd.gov/ndhp for hiring information.
