TROOPER RECEIVES NATIONAL AWARDS

BISMARCK, N.D. – For the second consecutive year, a North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) trooper received national awards at the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) North American Inspectors Championship. Last week in Minneapolis, Trooper Josh Anderson placed in three categories of competition against 50 roadside inspectors representing jurisdictions across North America.

PATROL RECEIVES ADVANCED ACCREDITATION STATUS

Bismarck, ND – The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) was awarded advanced accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®). The NDHP, accredited since 1989, also received a meritorious award for being accredited for more than 15 continuous years. The NDHP complies with more than 350 professional public safety standards to maintain the accreditation status.

RETIREMENT OF TROOPER DARRYL P. BULZOMI

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 1, 2012

BISMARCK, ND − Superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) Colonel James Prochniak announces the retirement of Trooper Darryl P. Bulzomi. Effective July 31, 2012, Trooper Bulzomi retired as a sworn officer from the NDHP after 29 years of distinguished service.

TROOPER RYAN C. SINCLAIR RECEIVES ASSIGNMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 30, 2012

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Trooper Ryan C. Sinclair graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. Trooper Sinclair has been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Northwest Region and will be stationed in Watford City. Trooper Sinclair has completed 20 weeks of academic and physical training at the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Upon arriving at his assigned post, Trooper Sinclair will begin a field training program.

TROOPER MICHAEL B. HAYEN RECEIVES ASSIGNMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 30, 2012

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Trooper Michael B. Hayen graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. Trooper Hayen has been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Southwest Region and will be stationed in Linton. Trooper Hayen has completed 20 weeks of academic and physical training at the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Upon arriving at his assigned post, Trooper Hayen will begin a field training program.

TROOPER JASMIN N. TEIGEN RECEIVES ASSIGNMENT

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Trooper Jasmin N. Teigen graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. Trooper Teigen has been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Southwest Region and will be stationed in Beach. Trooper Teigen has completed 20 weeks of academic and physical training at the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Upon arriving at her assigned post, Trooper Teigen will begin a field training program.

TROOPER GABRIEL J. IRVIS RECEIVES ASSIGNMENT

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Trooper Gabriel J. Irvis graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. Trooper Irvis has been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Northeast Region and will be stationed in Langdon. Trooper Irvis has completed 20 weeks of academic and physical training at the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Upon arriving at his assigned post, Trooper Irvis will begin a field training program.

TROOPER BRITTANY J. SCHMIDT RECEIVES ASSIGNMENT

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Trooper Brittany J. Schmidt graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. Trooper Schmidt has been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Northwest Region and will be stationed in Velva.

TROOPERS RECEIVE ASSIGNMENT

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces that Troopers David J. Kolness, Scott E. Stoczynski and Michael R. Wald graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on July 27, 2012. These troopers have been assigned to the Highway Patrol’s Northwest Region and will be stationed in Williston. The troopers have completed 20 weeks of academic and physical training at the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck.

REASSIGNMENT OF TROOPER MYLES E. SUNDBY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 19, 2012

BISMARCK, ND − Superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) Colonel James Prochniak announces the reassignment of Trooper Myles Sundby. Effective July 1, 2012, Trooper Sundby was reassigned to the Southeast Region in Carrington.
