NIGHTTIME WEIGHT ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS INCREASE

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) recently held a nighttime weight enforcement saturation effort in northwestern North Dakota.  The saturation resulted in a total of 16 vehicles being weighed.  Six of the 16 vehicles were found to be carrying weights in excess of legal limits.

BISMARCK, ND − Colonel James Prochniak, Superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), announces the retirement of Motor Carrier Inspector James A. Benjaminson.  Effective March 31, 2012, Inspector Benjaminson retired as a civilian motor carrier inspector from the NDHP after 32 years of distinguished service.

BISMARCK, ND − Colonel James Prochniak, Superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), announces the retirement of Motor Carrier Inspector Supervisor Tony J Novak.  Effective March 31, 2012, Inspector Novak retired as a Civilian Motor Carrier Inspector Supervisor from the NDHP after 28 years of distinguished service.

BISMARCK, ND − Colonel James Prochniak, Superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), announces the retirement of Trooper Cory C. Tuhy.  Effective March 31, 2012, Trooper Tuhy retired as a sworn officer from the NDHP after 17 years of distinguished service.

NORTH DAKOTA LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS COMPLETE LEADERSHIP TRAINING

BISMARCK, ND - The North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) announces that supervisory level North Dakota law enforcement officers completed a nationally recognized leadership training course.  The Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) course is administered by the Center for Police Leadership and Training, a subsidiary of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
