Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces the retirement of Trooper Gavin J. Dietz. Effective June 23, 2011, Trooper Dietz retired as a sworn officer from the North Dakota Highway Patrol after 22 years of distinguished service.

Effective June 1, 2011, Trooper Donald Neumann was reassigned from Killdeer in the Southwest Region to Minot with Motor Carrier Operations. Trooper Neumann began his career with the Highway Patrol in January 2002 by attending the Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Killdeer as a trooper where he has served until his current reassignment to Minot.
BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) is joining law enforcement agencies throughout North Dakota as part of a life-saving enforcement effort. From May 23 through June 5, 2011, troopers will join more than 60 other law enforcement agencies for a 'Click It or Ticket' mobilization. Seat belt and child restraint laws will be strictly enforced.
