Retirement of Trooper Steven D. Kirchoffner

For Immediate Release: November 19, 2010

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces the retirement of Trooper Steven D. Kirchoffner.  Effective October 31, 2010, Trooper Kirchoffner retired as a sworn officer from the North Dakota Highway Patrol after 27 years of dedicated service.

Troopers Step Up Lifesaving Efforts

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) will join law enforcement agencies throughout the state as part of a life-saving enforcement effort.  From November 11 through November 20, 2010, troopers will join more than 60 other law enforcement agencies for a 'Click It or Ticket' mobilization.  Seat belt and child restraint laws will be strictly enforced.

Reassignment of Sergeant Brian C. Bonness

Colonel James Prochniak, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announces the reassignment of Sergeant Brian C. Bonness.  Effective October 31, 2010, Sergeant Bonness was reassigned to Bismarck as the sergeant for Motor Carrier Operations.
