New Users: Create an account by following the steps below.

If you are a Permit Service Company or a private carrier and an account has already been set up, you must log in under the existing account. Do NOT set up multiple company profiles. Please see our help document for additional information.

Step 1:

In order to purchase permits online, you must have a State of North Dakota Login ID.  What is a State of North Dakota Login ID?

If you already have a State of North Dakota Login ID, please proceed to step 2.  If you do not have a State of North Dakota ID, click the link below to sign up.

• Register for a State of North Dakota Login ID  (NOTE:  You will be required to create a User ID and password.  Please keep this information in a safe place.)

Step 2:

Download and install Adobe Reader if you do not have it installed on your computer.  (NOTE:  You must open Adobe Reader and accept the license agreement before purchasing your first permit.)

Step 3:

LOG-IN with your user ID and password.  If you have any questions or problems concerning the electronic permits process view our help document or contact the NDHP Permits Section at 701-328-2621 or e-mail NDHP Permits.  Normal office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:10 am to 4:50 pm.

• Make online payments using a credit or debit card. All payment charges will be in US dollars. The following credit and debit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
