The North Dakota Department of Agriculture administers the USDA organic cost share program. Organic producers and processors can receive 75 percent of their organic certification expenses under this program each year, not to exceed $750.

Last year North Dakota was one of the five top recipients in the nation from this program. 147 producers and processors received $ 105,651.
