BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring will lead federal officials on an environmental and technology tour and conduct two community forums, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 6-7.
The purpose of the event is to show Environmental Protection Agency officials the latest in agricultural production technology and techniques, and to give farm groups an opportunity to discuss federal regulations and policy with the people who implement those policies.
The EPA officials are James Martin, Region 8 administrator, and Jennifer Schuller, agriculture advisor for Region 8.
Commodity groups, agricultural associations, soil conservation districts and others have been invited to the public forums.
