Goehring appoints Heins to marketing position
BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed Tamra Heins as a marketing specialist in the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.
“Tamra’s extensive, North Dakota agricultural background, coupled with her communications skills, makes her an ideal candidate for the position,” Goehring said
A native of Wing, where she grew up on the family ranch, Heins graduated from North Dakota State University with a double major in animal science and communications. For 15 years, she ranched with her parents and brother before relocating to New Salem where she and her husband, Tony, operate a ranch, raising cattle, sheep and hogs. She has also worked for the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service and as a market developer for DuPont.
In her new job, Heins will work on website development and maintenance, organics and the Pride of Dakota marketing program. She will report to Katie Pinke, director of NDDA’s Marketing and Information Division.
