BISMARCK — The age and source of more than 5,000 head of cattle has been verified in the first six months of a new program of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA).
“Cattle producers are finding that North Dakota Verified Livestock is an efficient and effective means of adding value to their livestock through age and source verification,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “Signing up for our new program is easy and completely voluntary, and we encourage producers to contact us to learn more about this opportunity.”
BISMARCK – Pet owners in flood-prone areas of North Dakota should make provisions for the keeping and care of their animals in case they must evacuate their residence.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring and Dr. Jesse Vollmer, assistant state veterinarian, said planning and preparation are essential for pet owners who may be forced to leave their homes.
