EDMS Request Types, Operational Activities

ITD Users: 
  • When ITD Processors select the "Self-Assign" link from their Work Queues, the first 25 characters of the service request short description will be defaulted into the assignment description. Previously, the assignment description was defaulted to blank.
  • On the "Add Assignment" page, the first 25 characters of the service request short description will be defaulted into the assignment description. Previously, the assignment description was defaulted to blank.
  • On the "Complete Assignment" page, processors will be allowed to back-date the completion date up to the assignment open date. Previously, processors were incorrectly back-dating the completion date to prior than the open date.
  • Project header records will no longer be updated in the Mainframe TIME system as of the EmpCenter application "Go Live" date.
  • When the "Return to Sender" or "Withdraw" buttons are selected for a service request, the WMS application will now check for time-entry records in the EmpCenter application as well as the WMS application. If time-entry records are found in either or both applications, the return or withdraw will not be allowed and an error message will be displayed.
  • When a service request is completed and re-opened, if the service request has an assignment, the service request status will now be set to 'Assigned.' Previously, the service request status was set to 'Submitted.'
  • When a service request is returned and re-submitted, if the service request has an assignment, the service request status will now be set to 'Assigned.' Previously, the service request status was set to 'Submitted.'
  • When a service request is put on hold and then removed from hold, if the service request has an assignment, the service request status will now be set to 'Assigned.' Previously, the service request status was set to 'Submitted.'
  • When a service request is returned, re-submitted, and approved, if the service request has an assignment, the service request status will now be set to 'Assigned.' Previously, the service request status was set to 'Submitted.'
  • For Telecommunication service requests, the correct page will now display when a user selects the "History" link, the "Obj Doc" button, the "Surveys" button, or the "Assignments" button. Previously in certain situations, an unable-to-process page was displayed.
  • For "Dataset Authorization" service requests, selecting the "History" link will now correctly display the history page.
  • For all service request types other than Software Dev/GIS/PM/QA, a submitted service request will now always have a default service area and task. Previously in certain situations, this information was not being created.
ITD Admin Users: 
  • On the "ITD Maintenance" page, a new "EDMS Request Type" link has been added. ITD Admin users can now add, edit, and delete (inactivate) EDMS request types through the WMS application. Previously, this information could only be modified through direct database access.
  • On the "Operational Activities" page, the following new links have been added: "Service", "Service Type", "Activity", "Application", "Section". ITD Admin users will be able to add and edit operational activities for the EmpCenter application through the WMS application.
