Project Management Oversight monitors and guides information technology projects with a budget in excess of $100,000.
The process begins with Involving ITD in Project Origination (SB2015) and continues throughout a project's life-cycle as described in the Project Management Oversight Guidebook.
Statutory requirements regarding information technology projects can be referenced at NDCC 54-10-28, NDCC 54-35-15.2-4, NDCC 54-59-05.7-8, 54-59-09, and 54-59-23, and Senate Bill 2015 (Section 11).
Project Management for Large Information Technology Projects (STD009-05) ensures accountability for the resources allocated to large IT projects as directed by the legislative mandates and ensures that a consistent approach is used.
Project Sponsors may seek levels of exemption from large project oversight by filling out and submitting SFN 59558 to the state CIO.
