Welcome to the Web Site for the IT Functional Consolidation Project!
This site has been developed to communicate information related to the recent legislation passed in the 2003 Legislative Special Session, regarding the consolidation of information technology functions in ND state government.
House Bill 1505 contained legislative intent regarding the consolidation of certain core IT services within ITD such as e-mail administration; file and print server administration; database administration; storage; and application server and hosting services. HB 1505 also included the potential transfer of 24 positions from agencies to ITD.
OMB and ITD have initiated a project to address how the consolidation will occur, and to insure that any consolidation will create efficiencies, cost savings, and improved quality of service before it is implemented. While the extent and actual deployment of consolidation is not known at this time, every effort will be made to minimize the impact of any consolidation efforts on agency operations and employees.
