ITD is in the planning stages of upgrading the WebSphere Application Server environments from WebSphere 6.1 to WebSphere 8.0 with an estimated completion date of Fall 2012.

Why Upgrade to WebSphere 8.0?

Upgrading is necessary to remain current with supported product releases. At the same time, ITD will be upgrading each application's project workspace using the latest development tool, Rational Application Developer version 8.0.

• ITD will be contacting agencies regarding applications supported by ITD that are directly impacted by this project.
