ITD has launched a new North Dakota Broadband Map that features an interactive map of the state and an application for testing actual internet download/upload speeds.
“For the first time ever this map gives us the opportunity to show North Dakota’s level of broadband service across the state and a great opportunity to explore options for the future,” said Lisa Feldner, Chief Information Officer, State of North Dakota.
The North Dakota Broadband Map displays information about the types, availability, and providers of broadband services in North Dakota. The information is a compilation of data from public sources, commercial data, and broadband service providers.
The purpose of the State Broadband Mapping Project is to identify broadband availability and speeds throughout North Dakota. It allows consumers to locate broadband services, both wired and wireless, within the state’s communities.
