On October 10, 2013, Governor Jack Dalrymple named Mike Ressler chief information officer (CIO) of the state’s Information Technology Department (ITD). Ressler has served as interim CIO since June 3, replacing Lisa Feldner. Prior to being appointed interim chief, Ressler served as deputy chief information officer and director of operations, positions he held since 1997.
“Mike has done an excellent job as deputy chief information officer, and most recently as interim chief, and will successfully bring his decades of experience and technical expertise to the chief information officer position,” Dalrymple said. “His vision and leadership abilities will serve him well as he continues the department’s mission of providing quality services and support, and works to advance the state’s information technology capabilities to the next level.”
“I would like to thank Governor Dalrymple for his confidence in appointing me as the state chief information officer and for the opportunity to serve on his cabinet,” Ressler said. “I am proud and excited to work with the Information Technology Department staff that is committed to assisting state agencies with the delivery of quality services to the citizens of North Dakota.”
