Dalrymple Appoints Mike Ressler Interim Chief Information Officer of North Dakota's Information Technology Department

Governor Jack Dalrymple appointed Mike Ressler as Information Technology Department's (ITD) interim chief information officer.

“Mike has done an excellent job over the last 16 years serving ITD and the responsibilities it supports,” said Dalrymple. “The combination of his technical expertise and leadership abilities will enable the department to continue offering quality technology services for the state."

Ressler started working for ITD in September of 1984 and since 1997 he has been serving as the Deputy Chief and Director of ITD. His responsibilites include the administration and management of all operational functions. Mike will assume his new roles and responsibilities on June 3, 2013.

Ressler holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in accounting and business administration from the University of Mary. Mike continued his education by receiving a third major in computer information systems in 1992. He attended Harvard University and received a certificate in Driving Government Performance from the John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2002.

Before accepting his position at ITD, Ressler worked for a CPA firm in Bismarck.
