Polycom rep will be onsite to perform a code upgrade. Therefore, the change has been scheduled during a non-typical outage window to ensure access to technical support. The CMA gatekeeper functions are configured in direct mode rather than routed mode, so video endpoints will be affected very little by the outage. Desktop video users will be the only ones truly affected.
Polycom video units will receive a message that they are no longer registered with the gatekeeper when the CMA goes down, but the video units will still be able to place and receive video calls during outage. CMA desktop video users will not be able to place or receive video calls during outage.
