Systems Administrator

Andy Egemo is a Storage Systems Administrator in ITD's Computer Systems Division.  Originally from ND, Andy moved back in 2010 to take the position he has today.  He holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota-Williston and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota.

As Storage Systems Administrator, his role is to architect, design, plan, implement, administer, control, and generally provide support and optimization of SAN and pooled storage systems, in partnership with other teams and functions throughout ITD.

Prior to ITD, Andy accumulated over 15 years of IT experience working within corporate IT.  His experience includes Unix/Linux administration, storage administration, backup administration, computer operations support, and research/development of new storage technologies.  He’s also a patent holder in the removable storage field.

Andy and his wife Kristal enjoy fishing, boating, hunting, golf, and just about anything else ND has to offer with their 4 boys.
