Managers: Compensation and Salary Ranges

Compensation/Salary Ranges

Because of the contingent nature of salary increase appropriations for the 2003-2005 biennium, the Compensation Plan for the July 1, 2003 - June 30, 2005 period is contingent upon the State Employee Reductions - State Employee Compensation plan specified in Senate Bill 2423 (Chapter 669 of the Session Laws) enacted by the 58th Legislative Assembly.

July 1, 2003 - December 31, 2003 - Salary ranges in effect from July 1, 2002, through June 30, 2003, were extended through December 31, 2003.

January 1, 2004 - December 31, 2004 - Salary ranges reflect the appropriation implemented through the State Employee Reductions - State Employee Compensation plan adopted by the 58th Legislative Assembly. Since employee reductions did not result in 'release' of the 1 percent appropriation for January 1, 2004, the salary ranges for July 1, 2002 - June 30, 2003, are extended through December 31, 2004.

January 1, 2005 - June 30, 2005 - Salary ranges will reflect the appropriation implemented through the State Employee Reductions - State Employee Compensation plan adopted by the 58th Legislative Assembly. If the employee reductions result in 'release' of the 2 percent (or up to that amount) appropriation for January 1, 2005, the salary ranges will be increased that amount for January 1, 2005, through June 30, 2005. The ranges will not be moved if the 'release' is less than 1 percent.
