Minimum Qualifications:

A PhD in Political Science is preferred; a Masters is required.  The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.  Applicants with a secondary field in economics are desired.

Summary of Work:

The Department of Social Sciences is seeking an innovative and energetic individual for a full-time, non-tenure-track position in Political Science.  A PhD in Political Science is preferred; a Masters is required.  The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.  Applicants with a secondary field in economics are desired.  Applicants must have a proven teaching record and be able to teach a broad array of Political Science courses, including research methods, Introduction to American government, leadership studies, and political theory.  Applicants must also possess a strong background in both quantitative and theoretical approaches to the discipline.  Ability and experience using technology as a teaching tool is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduates. The teaching load is normally four courses (three preparations) per semester. Benefits include TIAA-CREF retirement and employer paid Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance.  Appointment date is August 16, 2013.
