Dickinson Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess: knowledge of student development and learning theory (particularly as they apply to working with Native American, African American, Asian American, Latino, and international students); knowledge of federal regulations and practices regarding international student enrollment and study abroad; excellent communication skills; the ability to work collaboratively; and the ability to make practical and effective links between theory and practice. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates possessing a Masters degree in college student personnel or related field and one year of experience in working with Native American, African American, Asian American, Latino, and international students are preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial experience will also be considered.

Reporting to the Director of Multicultural Affairs and working with the Director and other department staff, this position provides academic, social, and transition support for Native American, African American, Asian American, Latino, and international students. Duties will include: acting as an advising resource for students; working with faculty to help assure student success; assisting in recruiting and retaining students; assisting with Multicultural Center and multicultural student organization programming; and assisting in promoting an inclusive, celebrative, and multicultural campus learning community.
