Minimum Qualifications:

Requires an associate degree in Civil Technology or equivalent experience.

Six years of related experience.

Knowledge of construction practices.

Good negotiation skills.

Ability to walk long distances along uneven trench spoil piles, climb over fences, open and close gates, and climb up and down ladders

Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel up to five days per week.

Summary
of Work:
Construction, observation, and inspection of projects.
- Review plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Observation of critical construction activities.
- Photograph construction activities.
- Observation of consulting engineer’s field procedures.
- Discussion of technical aspects of construction with contractor, consultant, and project manager.
- Maintain daily construction diary.
- Provide direct communication between project manager and construction site.
- Review quality assurance results.
- Maintain relationships with property owner and address their concerns.
- Daily travel throughout southwestern North Dakota.
