Minimum Qualifications:

Requires current licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners. 

Must successfully complete a standard background and criminal record check.If no qualified applicants are found, we will consider underfilling as a Addition Counselor Intern, with a salary range of $2,315-$3,086 per month. Minimum qualifications require approval for internship placement by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners.

Summary of Work:

To provide effective and holistic counseling services to inmates and their families under the supervision of upper level clinicians.  The problem foci will include, but may not be limited to, alcohol and other drug abuse, sexual offenses, and other dysfunction or acts of aggression.  The position will work as part of the Mental Health Unit Team providing screenings and evaluations, recommend diagnosis and treatment levels, conduct individual, group, and family counseling, monitor progress and complete documentations services to the adult male inmates at the James River Correctional Center.
