Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or economics with major coursework in accounting. GPA of 3.0 or higher desired.
Must have strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills; the ability to comprehend and apply a variety of information and tasks; the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; the ability to identify problems, possible causes, and alternative solutions. Must have proven leadership skills, including involvement in school, the community or work; must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft XP; must be able to work independently and in a team environment and have a positive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges.
A credit, state, and federal background check will be conducted on the final candidate.

Summary of Work:
This position allows an employee to gain a broad overview of Bank of North Dakota (BND) and develop accounting and financial principles as they relate to and support each service area at BND. The employee in this accelerated development program will have rotational assignments in our accounting, treasury, banking, lending, student loans, risk management, information technology, communications & marketing, and human resources service areas, over a sixteen month period. After successful completion of the program, the intent is the employee may be placed in a Lending related position; however, it is not limited to this area. This development program includes but is not limited to: regular reviews of progress and performance pertaining to each assignment prior to rotating to a new area; review of strategic plan with President of BND; exposure to executive meetings and SVP’s in each service area and may include participation in other BND programs and opportunities.
Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with extended hours as necessary to meet business needs.
