Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or a GED and one year of work experience with special population groups such as the mentally ill, developmentally disabled, children and adolescents, or patients/clients in a direct care facility such as a hospital, nursing home, group home, day-care, or in a community/mental health setting. Two years of college coursework may substitute for the work experience requirement.
If unable to find qualified candidates, will consider underfilling as a Human Service Aide I (4401), which requires a high school diploma or a GED.
A valid driver’s license and a vehicle are required. The ability to adjust to a flexible work schedule is also required.

Summary of Work:
This is a year-round, part-time position with no benefits. The position entails working some daytime and rotating weekend hours with Developmentally Disabled/Mentally Ill in their work site. The ability to adjust to a flexible work schedule is required. The job does involve bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for long periods of time on a regular basis. Health insurance can be purchased at State premium rates. There is a miscellaneous reimbursement for travel and paperwork. Paid Holiday’s after successfully completing probationary period.
