Jamestown Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, communication disorders, human resource management (human service track), social work, psychology, counseling, developmental disabilities, special education, vocational rehabilitation, nursing, sociology, elementary education, or child development and family science and one year of work experience working with special population groups; OR a master’s degree in one of the fields listed above. Individuals graduating in December 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in one of the fields listed above and have one year of direct service working with special populations are encouraged to apply and will be considered. The National Family Caregiver Support Program provides for a multifaceted system of support services for family caregivers and for grandparents or older individuals that are relative caregivers. Essential job functions include outreach/client identification; public education; information and assistance; caregiver assessments; care plan design and implementation; individualized caregiver counseling; community and program development; individualized caregiver training; group presentations; and respite care (identify and arrange for). Extensive travel is involved with this position.
