Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or GED and one year of work experience with children, adolescents, or patients/clients in a direct service capacity or in an educational setting.  An associate degree or greater in a human service-related field may substitute for the work experience requirements.  Individuals may be required to work non-traditional hours.

This position requires the ability to visit clients in their home using the employee’s own automobile.  A valid North Dakota license is required and the employee must have adequate automobile insurance.

Summary of Work:

This position involves providing guidance and instruction in parenting and home management skills to individuals/families.  Some of the duties performed include:  Participating in developing a client treatment plan, providing parenting skills through demonstration and instruction; providing instruction in budget planning, proper nutrition, performing household tasks, personal care tasks.  Serve as an advocate and role model for the client.  Perform required documentation and participate as a team member on a child and family services team.
