Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of warehouse or shipping-or-receiving clerk related experience. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required. Forklift certification is preferred but if necessary, will allow an uncertified employee to become trained and certified within the first month of employment. Employees must have good record-keeping skills and an attention to detail.
Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
The work is physically demanding and requires lifting, bending or standing for long periods of time.
The applicant selected for the position must be available for emergency response outside of normal business hours.

Summary of Work:
Provides assistance to warehouse manager in organizing, shipping and receiving state medical cache for the North Dakota Department of Health. The position is responsible to track as well as unload merchandise as it is received at the warehouse and load it when it is being shipped.
Tasks involved in fulfilling the duty/responsibility:
- Receive, check-in and place product into inventory.
- Process, pull and ship orders.
- Inputs into computer inventory control program.
- Inventory product(s) accurately and record results.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, two wheel cart and other warehouse equipment. Must get certification for operation of the DoH forklift within the first month of employment.
- Perform general warehouse upkeep and cleaning duties.
- Work independently and able to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Perform basic computer skills with MS Office products (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Communicate courteously and professionally with other DoH employees and warehouse vendors.
- Other related duties as assigned.
