Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Deaf Education or credential in hearing loss
- Valid or eligible for North Dakota Education Professional Certificate
- Willingness to obtain certification in Early Childhood or related coursework
Preference will be given to applicants with:
- Experience as a teacher of the deaf
- Knowledge of sign language

Summary of Work:
- Provide home intervention programming for deaf/hard of hearing infants birth through age five
- Provide educational and consultation services to students birth to 21 who are deaf/hard of hearing
- Provide the knowledge of impact of hearing loss to meet individual needs
- Facilitate home visits and discussion related to hearing loss, communication options, language, speech, auditory development
- Collaboration with schools and agencies serving children with hearing loss
- Provide the knowledge and experience with assessment tools, methods and techniques for use with deaf/hard of hearing students
- Ability to use assessment results to guide programming for students
- Provide the knowledge of and experience with range of communication philosophies and approaches
- Ability to use audiology results and identify implications
- Provide the knowledge of specialized methods, strategies, equipment and support needs for deaf/hard of hearing
