Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with a Major in Accounting.

Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to other staff members and audit clients.

Analytical ability.

Ability to recognize deficiencies and make recommendations for change.

Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills and proven ability to deal with people in a personable and courteous manner.

Word processing and spread sheet skills.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Have a 3.0 GPA or higher in accounting courses.
- Are a CPA or have conditioned on the CPA exam.
- Have government auditing experience.
- Have knowledge of Peoplesoft HRMS or Financials.

Summary
of Work:

Under immediate to close supervision, receives training in and assists in conducting performance audits of state entities. As knowledge and skills increase, individual will be given additional responsibility.

Analyzes financial record data.

Analyzes management internal control systems.

Assists in conducting audit follow-up for completed performance audits.
