Web-Based Enrollment Checklist

Dozen Steps To Success: A checklist to help you get through the steps when enrolling into a web-based course via HRMS website and PeopleSoft/ELM.

Description:

 

 

1.

Find a web-based course you want to take, difficulty level (if applicable), and dates of the course. The course and dates are: __________________________

 

2.

Watch a webinar (28 mins) on maximizing your learning via a web-based environment. You'll find the link at both the HRMS Training website and here: https://www.learnquest.com/State%20of%20North%20Dakota%20Video/State%20of%20North%20Dakota.html.

 

3.

Click on the “Registration” link on the right side of the monitor and log into PeopleSoft.

 

4a.

Click on “Browse Catalog” in "my Training". Select the link “Computer Skills” and find the course title that matches your needs (i.e. Excel 2007: Level 1) listed alphabetically. Click on “Select” to the right of the course you want. Then click on the “External Registration” button, which takes you to the LearnQuest website and course syllabus (may appear in new browser tab or a new window). Choose your preferred course date and click the blue “Register” to the right.

 

4b.

Click on "Search Catalog" in "my Training." Enter the course title that matches your needs (i.e. Excel 2007: Level 1) and click on "Search Activities." Find "Register here" and click on the link that follows, which takes you to the LearnQuest website. Click in the blue "Register" to the right.

 

5.

Have P-card information handy & complete the registration process. If your agency has a centralized person that registers/pays the course for you, ensure they also see a copy of the ‘payment receipt’ if you receive one electronically via email.

 

6.

Ensure your supervisor/manager approves the course in ELM & responds to LearnQuest’s email with “Approved.

 

7.

LearnQuest sends reminders to your email address. Ensure your computer system has the correct capabilities to run the webinar “Go-To Meeting” prerequisites. You should receive 3-4 emails overall.
Cancellations** must be communicated with LearnQuest Customer Service earlier than 11 days prior to the course date, toll-free at (877) 206-0106.

 

8.

LearnQuest mails course handbook 11 days prior to the course date. At this point, your agency is committed to expending funds for the course.

 

9.

Log into LearnQuest’s site ten to fifteen minutes prior to the course start time. This is the day the P-card is charged for the course.

 

10.

Enjoy the course! Complete the course evaluation. Your employee transcript in ELM will automatically be updated a few days after the course.
