The State Historical Society of North Dakota will be selling duplicate and other unwanted publications and posters at its tenth annual sale. Some of the publications will be individually priced while others will be sold by silent auction.

How to bid.

In addition to the usual wide selection of books and magazines, a collection of annual reports and bulletins published by the Smithsonian Institution's annual reports and bulletins of the Bureau of American Ethnology will also be available. Along with bound and single copies of early Century Illustrated Magazine dated from the 1870s to the early 1900s, shoppers will be able to find some unique items, such as posters from World War I and World War II, early city directories, and other selected publications. Of special interest will be a complete set of the seven volumes of the Collections of the State Historical Society of North Dakota as well as the three-volume set of Lounsberry's History of North Dakota, publications generated by the work of the WPA and other North Dakota-related publications.

The State Historical Society's annual sale provides an opportunity for SHSND to sell duplicate titles or titles that do not fit the collection guidelines. The funds are then used to further develop the State Historical Society's collection.

High bids will be posted each day. Click here to view the bid list.

Sale publications will be located in the North Dakota Heritage Center Class Rooms. Visitor parking on the Capitol grounds should be used.
