Museums, educational institutions, libraries, senior centers,
and community centers in North Dakota who are interested in enhancing the
visitor experience.
Each exhibit runs for six weeks with two weeks between installations
to allow time for re-packing and shipping.
Exhibits are booked for specific blocks of times.
Exhibit reservations are made on a first-come, first-served
basis.
The borrowing organization is expected to handle the
exhibit in a professional manner and follow instructions provided with
each exhibit.
The location of the exhibit must be secure, and a person
must be responsible for supervising the exhibit at all times while it
is open to the public.
If your facility does not have the available space to
install a traveling exhibit, your organization may sponsor the exhibit
for showing at another location in your community, such as a bank or retirement
home. We discourage installation in shopping malls because of security
concerns and the risk of damage to the exhibit.
Shipping is paid by the borrowing organization to and
from their location, usually averaging $30.00 - $50.00 per trip. You may
also pick up and return the exhibit from the Heritage Center, or other
arrangements can be made with the approval of the Curator of Exhibits.
