The 40th Northern Great Plains History Conference, sponsored by the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, will be held September 29–October 1, 2005, at the Plaza Hotel and Suites in Eau Claire. The keynote speaker for the banquet will be Donald Ritche of the U.S. Senate Historian’s office. Proposals for papers or sessions in any area of history are welcome. The 48th Annual Missouri Valley History Conference will be held March 3–5, 2005, in Omaha, Nebraska. Proposals for papers and sessions in all areas of history are welcome.
