Footsteps into Medora's Past

alking tour of historic Medora, featuring stops at sites listed in the National Register of Historic Places and vignettes with actors in historic costumes. Daily at 1 p.m. and Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10 a.m. (MT)( After August 10, walking tours offered Sat and Sun only); also living history tour Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. for senior citizens and Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. for children, Chateau de Mores State Historic Site. Recollections of Murder and Mayhem in Medora
A 20-minute theater production dramatizing the conflict between cowboys and outsiders over land use and barbed wire. Courtroom of the Billings County Courthouse Museum in Medora, every Friday at 2:30 p.m. (MT), and Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For more, call (701) 623-4355.

Performances featuring the charming hostess of the Chateau, Madame de Mores, at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. (MT). Chateau de Mores State Historic Site.

Hours:
8:30 a.m.- 6:15 p.m. MDT with the last tickets sold at 5:50 p.m. Allow one hour per visit. It is suggested that visitors enter the Chateau no later than 5:30 p.m. so as not to be rushed. Winter Hours start September 16, 2008. Winter rates are ½ price which includes interpretive center galleries, if a tour of the house is arranged admission is full price.
