Presented by: Kathy Liljequist, GIS Consultant, GeoComm, Inc
» Workshop (700kb pdf)
As GIS technology has become a permanent fixture in public safety this session will cover NENA Standards for 9-1-1 addressing and processes you can to do work toward synchronization of the MSAG, map data, and ALI database. The session will also discuss 10 main components on the road to synchronization. There are circumstances where the map data and MSAG cannot be synchronized. Learn how it is possible to have map data that is not MSAG valid and still achieve the required results.
Three guarantees of what an attendee will learn:
- NENA E-9-1-1 Addressing Standards
- The role of MSAG in evaluation of GIS data accuracy
- Options for synchronization with minimal system impact
