Presented by: Chuck Morman, Morton County Road Superintendent, Morton County, North Dakota; D'Aulan Bussman, Teacher, Mandan High School, Mandan, North Dakota; Ray Hintz, Supervisor of Information Technology, North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education
Morton County has entered into a cooperative agreement with the Mandan Public High School to assist both agencies in the development of a GIS program. The school gets to use real time data from Morton County Highway Dept. in the class instructions. Since some data for the City of Mandan is also available the students can use GPS to locate and generate real time data for the class to use. This also gives the school access to the Morton County GIS coordinator for assistance. The students can also complete projects for Morton County in real time environment.
