North Dakota GIS Users Conference - October 24-26, 2005
The North Dakota GIS Users Conference was a very successful event with 119 registered attendees from state agencies, counties, cities, tribal organizations, higher education, utilities, and businesses attending presentations, workshops, and an exhibit area. Approximately 35% of the participants were from state agencies, 20% from counties, 15% from businesses, 10% from federal agencies, 6% from higher education, 6% from cities, 6% from utilities, and 2% from tribal organizations. There were also 38 non-registered walk-ins. The conference was held at the Comfort Inn in Bismarck. The theme was "Strategic Thinking" with a focus on emergency management, data sharing and distribution, industry trends, and education.
The Users Conference was kicked off by the Full GIS Technical Committee meeting on Monday afternoon. More information can be found in the Full GISTC minutes.
