Geographic Coordinate Database Meeting - June 2004
A Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB) meeting was held in Bismarck, June 15-16. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is currently collecting GCDB data within the Williston Basin. At this meeting the BLM had discussions with state and local governments and other interested parties to identify and prioritize the North Dakota counties that have GIS capability and would use the GCDB in their GIS applications. The GCDB has the potential to support a multitude of business needs including homeland security and emergency response, revenue management, and economic development.
