GIS Hub Usage Statistics
Database Connections
At any given time during a typical day, there are an average of 40+ concurrent connections to the GIS Hub databases. This number of connections does not include connections from ArcIMS and other applications. The vast majority of these database connections are from state agency users, though there are a number of connections from North Dakota counties and cities.
Data Downloads
Both vector and raster data is downloaded from the GIS Hub. Combined, these two data sets average about 2,850 downloads / 247 gigabytes per month (based on usage from March 2004 through March 2006).
Web Services
GIS Hub web services include ESRI- and OGC-formatted image services (streaming of imagery and vector data to ArcGIS and non-ArcGIS desktop software), feature services (streaming of vector data to ArcGIS desktop software, user can change symbology of the data), a metadata service (descriptive and searchable information used in a browser or ArcMap), and a geocoding service (address locations used in browser applications). Please visit the usage statistics web page for detailed usage reports of the GIS Hub web services.
