North Dakota State GIS Coordinator Bob Nutsch began work on building the GIS data repository. Early tasks are to understand who the people are in the state agencies, and determine their GIS needs and concerns. Other preliminary work includes beginning to develop a strategy for implementing an infrastructure. This includes working with the GIS Technical Committee in designing metadata standards and entering into early discussions with 3rd-party groups regarding hardware and software systems.
